Eyelid Surgery – Upper Blepharoplasty

Welcome to Thrive Medical Spa, led by Vincent Zubowicz, MD, where your journey to youthful, rejuvenated eyes begins. Dr. Zubowicz, our founder and double board-certified plastic surgeon, specializes in blepharoplasty, the art of eyelid surgery. We offer a safe and transformative experience to revitalize your eyes and leave you feeling more confident than ever.

What is Eyelid Surgery – Upper Blepharoplasty?

Upper eyelid surgery relieves drooping eyelids, giving a more alert and youthful appearance, and is a time-tested procedure dating back 2,000 years.

Blepharoplasty is considered safe, but it may not be the best option for everyone, especially if you have dry eye syndrome or other ophthalmological issues. Your initial consultation with our trained professionals is vital to evaluate and address any possible risks. As always, your safety and comfort are paramount.

The Eyelid Surgery – Upper Blepharoplasty Procedure

Before your procedure, arrive makeup-free. Sedation will be administered, so arranging a ride home is a must.

Our highly skilled surgeon, Dr. Zubowicz, specializes in removing excess skin while preserving vital fat. The benefit of upper eyelid surgery is a more youthful appearance, primarily due to the removal of excess skin. Herniated fat is adequately removed but not excessively removed. We want an eye that looks youthful, not hollowed out. At Thrive, Dr. Zubowicz, takes a conservative approach to skin removal, keeping it minimal and natural.

Our surgical process relies on standard instruments, and we steer clear of lasers, which, according to studies, can sometimes result in more visible scars compared to traditional scalpel techniques. This efficient surgery typically takes around 45 minutes for each eyelid.

Dr. Zubowicz’s expertise ensures a swift and precise procedure.

Your Recovery and Results

Following the procedure, you’ll be up and moving around right away. You can get back to driving when it’s safe for you. However, limiting intense physical activities to gentle walking for about a week until your post-op appointment is a good idea. After that, you can gradually ease back into more athletic activities while being careful to protect your healing eyelid incisions.

Most patients report that blepharoplasty doesn’t typically cause much pain. We provide ice packs for your comfort, which usually offer enough relief, and you’re welcome to use over-the-counter pain medications. If you happen to be more sensitive to pain, we can provide a prescription for a pain-relieving medication.

Eyelid surgery is usually a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The results are long-lasting, giving you a refreshed appearance that will endure over time.

Safety is Our Priority

Upper eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is considered very safe. At Thrive Medical Spa, we prioritize your safety, well-being and comfort above all else. Reviews That Keep Us Thriving

”I actually interviewed three doctors, and by far, it was the most comfortable place here. People were very normal, kind, and considerate. I literally lost all my feeling of being uncomfortable within five minutes of seeing the nurses, the assistants, and then doctor. I told my husband I couldn’t even believe I felt none of that within minutes.”
